This position will be based in Houston, Texas and will be an integral part of our hydrocarbon forecast and modeling group.
Responsibilities:
: Create, support and improve fundamental models such as the North American water borne import/export and refinery yield forecast model
: Answer customer queries and help customers in interpreting model forecasts.
: Lead role in building fundamental forecast models for North American and South American markets.
: Attend seminars and conferences to increase awareness of our services among market participants.
: Responsible for model development
: Customer contact and handle internal communication as needed
: Analyze and describe market conditions and views in our weekly product
: Analyze and describe market conditions and views in our daily product
Qualifications
: 3:5 yrs work experience in crude oil or refined product markets
: Strong understanding of US crude production, refining fundamentals and transportation fundamentals including pipeline, rail and waterborne transit
: Experience in pricing of US, Caribbean and Latin American crude or refined products
: Strong quantitative and analytical skills
: Strong communication skills
: Strong programming skills, in Matlab or Visual Basic or statistical package such as R
: Understanding of supply and demand fundamentals in US crude and refined product markets
: Understanding of US hydrocarbon market in conjunction with global supply/demand drivers
: Completed four year degree with concentration in either Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering.
