Research Associate - Real Estate - (Houston) in Houston, Texas For Sale
Position Title : Research Associate - Real Estate Position Summary Assist staff, as directed, with various tasks and projects including property tax parcel verification, property ownership data, desktop alternate site reviews, document coding & scanning and survey uploads. Key components of this role are the ability to perform internet research related to property ownership and a basic understanding of GIS based mapping software. Work with other areas of company (Engineering & Shared Services) to ensure systems are properly updated. Essential Job Functions Perform internet-based real estate research and corresponding database updates. Order and analyze property title search products and documents when required. Perform desktop GIS, public records and phone research related to alternate / replacement locations for existing tower sites and prepare accurate reports summarizing findings. Review a variety of data sources to extract and forward relevant data. Scrutinize and validate existing data with a view to improving the quality and quantity of information available. Carry out audits on the data, as directed, using database queries or via Excel spreadsheets. Education/Certifications High School diploma or equivalent Associates Degree/some college preferred Experience/Minimum Requirements Previous office or administrative experience Real estate experience and/or familiarity with real estate terminology preferred Familiarity with mapping software, ie MapInfo, Google Earth Pro, ArcGIS, a plus Proven ability to analyze a large quantity of data using MS Excel or Access, a plus
