Description
The Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for the hourly mechanical and electrical maintenance employees. This position is responsible for the safe and cost effective execution of maintenance work in an assigned area.
Assures efficient and effective utilization of maintenance manpower, resources, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications : BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Required:
: High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance role or
: BS in an Engineering or other technical discipline with minimum 5+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance role, or an AS in Technology and 8 years experience in an industrial/manufacturing role.
:
A broad understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance, mechanical integrity programs and preventative maintenance practices. Requires familiarity with maintenance programs, work processes (MPI, etc.), and best practices.
: Experience with implementing and maintaining a site:wide Mechanical Integrity program, i.e., fixed equipment, PSV, Vessels, rotating equipment, I and E, and PSM requirements.
: 2 years of leadership / supervisory experience in a chemical or similar manufacturing maintenance role.
Preferred:
: Broad knowledge of both mechanical and electrical maintenance
: SAP WO and purchasing requisition experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
: Detailed understanding of equipment and overall plant manufacturing processes.
: Requires familiarity with environmental, health and safety procedures.
: Must have technical competencies of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, general computer skills, work planning and estimating, and user knowledge of SAP maintenance functions.
: Must have generic competencies of analytical thinking, communication and interpersonal understanding, customer focus, entrepreneurial acting/initiative, team leadership/collaboration, work management, and conflict management.
: Effective communication (verbal and written) skills
: Demonstrated leadership skills
: Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies and complex issues through documentation research or direct contact with vendor, purchasing,
: Familiar with repair methods for rotating equipment, piping, pressure vessels, valves, pressure relief devices and I and E.
