For your consideration is a Yamaha FX-1. This polyphonic FM synthesizer is one of the rarest, most complex, and most expensive synthesizers ever built. Yamaha's flagship FM synthesizer/organ son of the analog GX-1/EX-1 couple, and father to the DX-1, this beautiful instrument packs all the sonic possibilities of a standard organ and polyphonic synthesizer into one gigantic and unique package. If you think that the DX-1 is incredible, which it is, this is even better. The FX-1 is to the DX-1 what the GX-1 is to the CS-80. It is the second most expensive synth that Yamaha ever made. It is rumored that less than 100 were built.
